Kent & Curwen 插畫及鼠年聯名系列/ Kent & Curwen latest capsule collection with David Shrigley and Year of Rat



Kent & Curwen創作總監Daniel Kearns邀請了英國著名視覺藝術家David Shrigley合作,以其風趣幽默的風格,重新演繹品牌的經典圖章,把創作成品應用在系列設計上。在這一次的合作上,Shrigley 將他的畫作和藝術作品為元素,加上Kent & Curwen重塑英倫經典的概念和標誌性的玫瑰貼花, 設計出包括經典款長袖運動衫、T恤和圍巾的6款單品。

David Shrigley 於歐洲、北美及澳洲等廣泛地區都有舉辦過展覽,他的作品包含圖畫、 畫像、雕塑、動畫、表演及音樂等不同媒介,其中以利用獨特畫風諷刺時弊、表達人與人之 間互動的作品最為人熟悉。他靈敏的畫風及手寫字,彷似不動聲色地道出生活場景或無意聽 到的對話,與背後實際想表達的深層意思營造出一股張力。

除此之外,緊接著而來的農曆新年Kent & Curwen 也推出了首個農曆新年系列,共4件限定時尚單品包括衛衣及長袖T-恤。這個系列採用了節日特色元素,以淡褐色、白色和深藍色為主,結合玫瑰花及2020生肖主題,提供不一樣的新年造型風格,以時尚姿態迎接農曆鼠年的來臨。

Kent & Curwen’s Creative Director Daniel Kearns collaborated with British visual artist, David Shrigley. In this capsule collection, Shrigley re-image the brand’s traditional heritage iconography using his humorous, witty style, the outcome which has been adorned onto this collection. This six-piece capsule collection consisting of classic sweatshirts, T-shirts and accessories – all feature David Shrigley’s illustrations and artwork inspired by Kent and Curwen’s take on reimagined British classics and its rose patch signature design.

“It has been a pleasure to collaborate with Kent and Curwen on this project. Creating motifs and statements to fit with their inventive take on iconic British style has been fun and I am very pleased with the results” David Shrigley.

David Shrigley has exhibited widely in Europe, North America and Australia. His work encompasses many media including drawing, painting, sculpture, animation, performance and music. He is best known for his distinctive drawing style and works that make satirical comments on everyday situations and human interactions. His quick-witted drawings and hand-rendered texts are typically deadpan in their humour and reveal chance utterings like snippets of over-heard conversations.


Furthermore, Kent & Curwen introduce their first Chinese New Year capsule collection consisting of four pieces, including sweatshirts & long-sleeved tees. To celebrate Chinese New Year, Kent & Curwen have reworked their signature rose patch into this year’s lunar year of the rat. Kent & Curwen have combined the emblem of the rose and the 2020 Chinese Zodiac symbol, with a variety of colours in ecru, white & navy to create this CNY capsule collection.
