Cosmos Infinity
Laureato Infinity
Vintage 1945 Infinity
Vintage 1966 Infinity
Swedish watch brand GIRARD-PERREGAUX launched 8 new watches in Geneva Watch Days, includes Cosmos Infinity, Free Bridge, Free Bridge Infinity, Laureato Infinity, Vintage 1945 Infinity and 1966 Infinity.
Cosmos Infinity
The Cosmos Infinity Edition features no less than three exceptional complications. Firstly, a lyre-shaped Tourbillon cage is held in position by Girard-Perregaux’s signature ‘Neo Bridge’. Secondly, a terrestrial globe, positioned at 3 o’clock, proves an eye-catching means of conveying whether the indicated time is day or night. And thirdly, a celestial globe displays the constellations of the Zodiac. Both globes are formed of polished onyx and are hand-decorated using micro-painting. This artisanal technique involves the application of pink gold to each globe, bestowing a sublime contrast with the glossy black onyx stone. The hand-painting of each globe can be personalised on request.
Free Bridge & Free Bridge Infinity
Both the Free Bridge and the Free Bridge Infinity Edition feature an hour bridge which draws the onlookers gaze to the barrel and the oscillating balance wheel. On the Free Bridge, this hour bridge is satin-finished and hand-bevelled, while the hour bridge on the Free Bridge Infinity Edition is formed of onyx, a material which exhibits the darkest shade of intense black. The hour bridge encompasses straight lines which sit in contrast with the arcing lines of the case. The Free Bridge is housed in a 44mm steel case, while its counterpart, the Free Bridge Infinity Edition, assumes a stealthy appearance courtesy of its DLC treatment.
The Free Bridge features skeletonised Dauphine-style hands that collaborate with suspended indexes to impart the prevailing time. The suspended indexes reinforce the model’s three-dimensional design language. The Free Bridge Infinity Edition employs golden hues to deliver an alternative persona. The colour-coordinated strap on both models is enriched with two prominent stitches adjacent to each lug, presented in a contrasting shade. Moving forward, this design element will become a recurring GP signature design element.
Laureato Infinity
Laureato Infinity Edition features an in-house self-winding movement, enhanced with traditional finishing and a pink gold oscillating weight. Consistent with Laureato tradition, alternating satin and polished finishes feature throughout. Great care is required when polishing the case and bracelet to ensure each type of finish is discrete with crisp delineation. The raised octagonal bezel features convex and concave surfaces which toy with light, culminating in alternating pockets of brilliance and shade.
Vintage 1945 Infinity
The Vintage 1945 Infinity is housed in a steel case measuring 36.10 x 35.25 mm, while the 1966 Infinity is available in a 30 mm case for ladies, with a 40 mm version for men. Each of them draws upon GirardPerregaux’s vast expertise, amassed since the company’s foundation in 1791.
Vintage 1966 Infinity
The 1966 Infinity Edition’s pure appearance is manifest, courtesy of its slender case, round dial, leaf-shaped hands and pink gold indexes – classic features in every sense. It is supplied with a matching leather strap perfectly integrated with the case. Furthermore, a see-through case-back affords views of the self-winding movement and accompanying pink gold oscillating weight. The company’s monogram is presented at 12 o’clock in pink gold, completing this artistic ensemble.
